I guess most skaters’ dream is to settle down at some point in their lives on a property with a little bowl in the backyard, or at least some kind of private shredable terrain such as an indoor miniramp.

Greymouth bowl – New Zealand

Greymouth bowl, westcoast south island New Zealand. Another epic, huge bowl in a small surfing/fishing town, with black granite pool coping, love seat, extension and taco!

Payne Street backyard pool – Melbourne, Australia

The last bit was filthy. It was just pure stinking sludge, frogs and lizards everywhere. Finally we cleaned it completely then we gave it a quick wash down, waited for it to dry and skated it for about an hour before dark.

Forest Row – England

Basically the story is it was built about a decade ago by a local pond builder and basically consisted of a sketchy snake run to what can only be described as the shallow end of a pool.

We’re almost finished with a new skatepark by the beach in Barcelona, Spain designed with other two more projects in 2009 by a couple architect experts on landscaping and myself as a skateboarder.

Mangawhai Bowl – New Zealand
