A new team and guest riders will be announced next week. Few can handle this hell curving bar and even fewer will be able to overcome the trials of Hey Ho Bar Massacre!
After the ULTRABOWL IV in Malmö, Sweden, a few different skate tours were underway across Europe, and the first stop on the way to “mainland” Europe is through Copenhagen. There are at least three sick skate spots in Copenhagen, one of which is the semi new Faelledparken skatepark where they had the Copenhagen Pro the last two years. The main two tours that Confusion ran into were LIFEBLOOD skateboards and the INDEPENDENT Trucks, but in addition there were a couple renegade tours passing through…
Ultrabowl 4. Concrete skateboard madness. 40+ rippers from around the world. Brad McClain continued his Scandinavian pro contest sweep with the win. Malmö local Fernando Bramsmark took 2nd. And Kevin Kowalski, last years winner took home 3rd place and a broken rib.
Normally I hate skate contests. In California most skate contests are held in skate parks. While the terrain in California skate parks may be ok, skate parks seem to only exist to keep skateboarders concentrated in one area so to make it easier city officials to keep an eye on skateboarders. Add to the mix too many people, pad nannies, fences, and the like, I prefer to keep as far away from contests as possible.
In the 3rd year of the Ultrabowl, they decided not to have the contest in the ‘backyard’ style pool, but instead to have it in the whole park (except in the pool). Skaters from all over the world attended and as could be expected, some serious shredding went down. I wasn’t there as I decided to explore previously unvisited lands in Croatia and Slovenia, so there’s not much for me to say, so look at the photos and watch the replay of any heat you want.

Pool Block Party premiered yesterday in Southern California and is now available for purchase direct from Peacock, the filmmaker. I know, it’s Vert season in Sweden right now, but we’re a little behind here at Confusion headquarters – we’ve been hitting up skate events and hardcore shows in different countries and putting out magazines. Rest assured, you’ll be seeing some insane Vert Attack 5 coverage on the site one of these days, but for now we’re going to flash back to the final day of the Ultra Bowl II in Malmö, Sweden.
Malmö, Sweden’s UltraBowl II held last August in Stäpelbäddsparken’s ‘backyard pool’ had some truly insane skateboard action going down! Day 1 was qualifications for the final day’s PRO semi’s and finals, and Master’s finals. Serious ripping was taking place from pool / transition skaters from all over USA and Europe.
