Powell Peralta Europe Tour (Part 1)

“I’ve always wanted to go to Denmark & Sweden ever since I’ve seen Pontus Alv skate. The spots look like they are out of a fantasy novel and the vibe reminded me of a lot of my home back in Vancouver. When Powell Peralta told us they wanted to do a tour this summer I was excited like a teenage kid that got laid for the first time. The crew consisted of a plethora of unique shredders: Steven Reeves (who in my mind is the definition of Powell Peralta), Bowl destroyer Brad McClain (my personal favorite), one of my best friends Josh Hawkins, filmer Terry Larue, and of course the mysterious photographer/TM Deville Nunes…” – Jordan Hoffart

Psychedelic Scribble Skate Wave – Offenau, Germany

“The building of room installation… or whatever people would call it… what for me was important in this installation is to build something out of dumpster and buying less as possible things and on the end was only screws, car gas… since diy is run by corporations, time is to build by death of society.” – Sergej Vutuc

Halloween Bowl Jam – Owl Bowl – Cologne, Germany

Halloween Bowl Jam in the Owl Bowl, at the NorthBrigade skatepark in Cologne, with glüwine, hot chili and a chilly concrete bowl, skating in the cold german night, on All Hallows’ Eve.

Fernando Elvira – German Art show Tour

Here is a short clip of my three-exhibition Tour in germany this summer. We edited it in one day at Confusion Magazine headquarters in Köln.
It was filmed by Piper, Sergej Vutuc, Jonathan Hay and myself on fairly simple cameras. A very low budget production but really high in fun, liebe and other vitamin-rich ingredients. – Fernando Elvira

New LOHSE RAMP opening party. Cologne, Germany

The old Lohseramp was the only real ramp in all of Cologne, Germany, but when it ended up starting to rot after many winters and derelict kids starting fires under the transition, the city finally shut down the ramp and the locals took it apart and salvaged some of the masonite, for a possible future project.

BSS Crew – Basque Country skate tour

So we made another skate trip this summer, to the Basque Country! We stayed each night at the beach or near the skatepark and prepared our meals with a barbeque or a gas cooker. When we arrived in Bilbao we just picked up our rental car and directly headed to the first spot, it was an awesome obstacle park in the center of Bilbao with a huge halfpipe and a miniramp with a hip…

Velbert, Germany. Five tricks with Matze Preisser & Lukas Axmann in the Good Hope Hut Bowl

Yes, we just had a post on the new Minus park in Velbert, Germany. But, on the way back from the Bergfest in the Monster Bowl in Münster, Germany, I hooked up a ride back to Cologne we Matze Preisser and Lukas Axmann who were keen for a shred in a new concrete park they had never skated, and I had never been there and wanted to check it out myself.

Velbert, Germany – skatepark checkout + mini skate tour

We hit Velbert just after it was finished. There was a big hole in the deep-end that was not closed which limited our lines a little. But overall, the bowl is realy nice to skate. Crazy lines with the bump in the middle and a nice mix of different transitions. Pool stones in the deep-end and some stairs in a quick corner.

Flip demo – Northbrigade. Köln, Germany

The FLIP skateboards team are half way through a tour of germany, england and sweden. They stopped by the Northbrigade in Cologne this monday, to session the mini ramp and the concrete Owl Bowl.

Under the Bridge – Zoobrücke, Köln – Germany

This is the new skate spot in Köln, on the ‘other’ side of the Rhein, underneath the Zoobrücke.
It is not DIY. Otherwise, it would be much better. But I won’t waste this space complaining about how rad it would have been if there was some kind of a bowl, instead of these little concrete obstacles strewn here and there.
