When I started, there were about 20 skaters out of 1.27 million population… So you already knew who to expect from hearing that distinctive sound of a board rolling down the road. Now, there are so many kids skating that we barely recognize each other!

We were dreaming and procrastinating about the first little skate escape of the year, that’s why we started to spread the word of an easter trip, around the skaters from Cologne and surroundings. And this word became real, here is our roadtrip report!
Against all the odds, Suvilahti DIY keeps on evolving and delivering. Even though the Supreme Administrative Court of Finland did not give in to the skaters’ complaints and held its decision to demolish the biggest DIY of the Nordics, the community finished yet another massive transition and is carousing the annual Södervik Mästare championships once again this July.
