La Kantera Pro 2017 – Getxo, Basque

Location: La Kantera. Playa Arrigunaga.

Date: June 23rd-24th, 2017

This year’s event was not unlike previous years, except more cash for the winners, and the first Women’s division ever in the La Kantera “pool” and free beers courtesy of Volcom for photographers, riders and special guests. The overall atmosphere was great, big skating but no big attitudes, with some of the best bowl skaters in the world hanging out with media and fans at the bar on the hill til the wee hours of the morning, only to return to battle the next day. Sunny skies with a nice breeze was perfect weather for a two day skate party. For the video we collaborated with Sket from Thanks Skateboarding Magazine who put together this edit from the finals with a few other clips from the women’s and masters and semi finals. Thanks to everyone for everything… good times were had by all.
