Ottone Bowl DIY – Lodi, Italy

Two years ago I started digging a pool in my town Lodi. The city authorized the skate association to do that but after a while I found asbestos in the dirt.. it’s not toxic but really harmful if you inhale it. I don’t know if you have that shit where you live, but it’s pretty big in Italy though. Somebody hid the asbestos back in the day. I quit with that. I wasted six hundred euros…

Rekalde Pool – Basque Country

Some friends of La Kantera went to visit the owner of Crossbone handmade skateboards and this pool near there house. A pool with natural water from the river. It was difficult to skate because it was wet, but this is our first trip to this pool, we want dry it, and skate it again!

Sweaty Sausages. Hamburg, Germany – 2014

No amount of anti perspirant could have prepared us for this year’s trip. The sausage gods of Hamburg felt it was fit to slowly roast our pale British skins and make skateboarding extra difficult. Six gents sharing a small room created some very interesting smells and we were drinking more water than von raven this time round…

Skateboring: an angry piece of text but also a love-letter

Sometimes people come with this opinion: that because major brands (Nike SB, Levi’s, Adidas…) sponsor skate events, build a few skateparks here and there, they participate to the community and culture of skateboarding.

Shaun Ross

“Shaun “the Boss” Ross is a bad ass. Shaun loves skateboarding, his family and surfing. Unfortunately shortly after his Thrasher intro part and his “Hall of Meat” clip came out, he blew out his knee. So here we are now, all healed up and starting to roll around again.
