Project 45 (DIY Montreal) – art show benefit

Every year, the Projet45 guys try to find fun ideas to raise money for their DIY project and it’s not really easy to keep people interested. Most of the skateboarders out there are often multi-talented; when they are not on wheels, they are playing music, drawing, painting etc. Then came the idea to use the talent of our great concrete soldiers’ by doing an Art Show in Montreal, which could be an excuse to raise money, and have fun with the bros in the meantime.

Betonhausen and Lankow Bowl – German Concrete

“This is a short clip that shows the little steep backyard ramp “Betonhausen” in Berlin and also the new Bowl in Schwerin Lankow.
The Minus crew did a great job in the renovation of the skate park and there is more space left to recreate the area. The Lankow Locals build their own speed bumps, quarters and other totally funky obstacles…” – Jubbi

Baum’s Ramp – Aachen, Germany

“For more Concrete”, that was the slogan for the party last year. The plan was to build a mini with Pudi’s pool coping and have a party for more concrete.
After the party we kept the door open and had the ramp in the bunker and had a place to skate for the winter and we organized some parties and concerts. A skateboard cafe was open one day in the week. Over the winter, after some sessions, we switched some things at the mini for more really high speed lines and more fun!

Ballina Barrier Barge 2

Almost exactly 1 year after the first Ballina Barrier Barge, the Barrier Barge 2 was hastily organized and sponsors were rounded up at the last minute. The idea behind this DIY event is to shred the one obstacle in the Ballina skatepark that resembles a DIY spot, a lone barrier plopped atop a big bank.

Scandinavian Bowl Attack series (part 1)

Confusion Magazine flew up to Copenhagen, Denmark on the way to Sweden to cover the VERT ATTACK 6 event taking place in Malmö. Instead of just highlighting the two days of the insane vert skating that went down at VA 6, we’re putting up a little “Bowl Attack” series…

New concrete: Rattingen Bowl – Germany

A new mini-bowl has just been completed in Rattingen, Germany, about 15 minutes north of Düsseldorf. According to Baum who built this in cooperation with Camp Ramps, the city wanted a “u-miniramp”, but luckily they were talked into something a little more creative that will stand the test of time…

Nicky Gaston – artist feature

I discovered the works of Redwood City based artist, Nicky Gaston the year of 2007 in skate works through some close friends of Jason Strubing and mine. I became really interested in him not just as a skateboarder, but learning that he had more talents than one. He was not just a skateboarder, but also a skateshop manager as well as an artist. When I skate with him he seems to barge everything and give it his all. Its like he does that with everything and has amazing energy that people can feed off of.

Dragonslayer featuring Skreetch – contest

Here at Confusion, we don’t usually give away other people’s stuff, we’re too busy giving away our own, but, we like Skreetch, he’s a total psycho and he rules, and we’re also down with Addikt Skateboards, a true skateboarding company that is struggling along with the rest of us and doing exactly what they want to do.
